Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles. It was situated approximately south-west of Bogatynia, south of Zgorzelec, and west of the regional capital Wrocław. The last buildings in the village were demolished in 2000, as a result of the expansion of lignite mining operations in the area. ==References==
